Ládano

Sitting on the shoulders of the Douro is the village of Freixo de Espada-à-Cinta, proud owner of a unique history and the most passionate landscapes that the north of Portugal can offer. The most Manueline village in Portugal combines centuries-old traditions with an enviable legacy of wine production. Its people, dedicated and welcoming, are like the wine that grows in these hills, bathed in the merciless summer sun and tinged with the harsh cold of the most hostile winters in Trás-os-Montes.

These wines originate from a process of little intervention and spontaneous fermentation that allows the best expression of their terroir and offers a harmonious and involving experience.

Daniel Costa is a young winemaker and producer belonging to the fourth generation of a wine-producing family in the Douro Region. With extensive experience in creating quality wines for different producers in this region, Daniel has a personal project in Ládano to which he dedicates all his passion and knowledge.
